DESIGN GUIDE

Plan your design

Planning and purpose

A religious invitation should describe the programme the organisers have actually arranged. A Katha, recitation, Bhajan Sandhya, Yagna or Pran Pratishtha can have different timings, hosts and attendance arrangements. Confirm the approved Gujarati occasion name, invocation and any speaker or performer details before choosing a layout. Give the venue and principal programme time priority, then explain meals or prasad separately. Do not copy ritual promises or a ceremonial schedule from a sample: these cards contain fictional details and are intended to help discuss your preferred design.

Design and readability

Use approved symbols and readable Gujarati text rather than filling the card with decoration. Separate the programme into dated sessions when it spans several days. Keep the principal occasion prominent and give long organiser or donor lists their own space. Check every name and any quoted devotional wording with the organisers before the proof is approved.

Review the design at the size people will actually see it. Check names, numbers and spelling in every language, and leave enough space around important information. Ask for changes on the same proof so the final version reflects one agreed set of corrections.

Sharing and print preparation

Agree whether guests need a single announcement, a complete programme or both. A multi-day event may work better with a short sharing image and a separate programme page. Confirm that digital and printed versions use the same final schedule, and tell recipients explicitly if a later change replaces an earlier invitation.

Decide the final use before approving artwork. Digital sharing, a printed piece and a production file can need different exports. For printing, confirm dimensions, bleed, paper or material and finishing with the printer before the final file is prepared. Keep the approved version separate from earlier proofs.

Common questions

Can a multi-day religious programme fit on one card?

A brief programme can, provided each date and session remains readable. Use an additional page when names or timings become too dense. The principal invitation should still show the venue and the main attendance details clearly.

Who should approve religious wording and symbols?

The hosts or organisers should confirm them with the people responsible for the programme. TG Graphics can arrange the supplied wording, but the invitation must reflect your approved observance rather than assumptions from another event.

How do I request a personalised design?
