DESIGN GUIDE
Plan your design
Planning and purpose
A gift box combines the brand with the experience of receiving the product. Choose the box construction, size and occasion before discussing decoration. A rectangular sweet box, round gift box and sleeve have different surfaces and opening directions. Tell us whether one design will be used all year or adapted for a particular festival or celebration.
Design and readability
Plan where the logo is visible when the box is closed and opened. Keep important lettering away from folds, joins and lid edges. If foil or embossing is planned, agree the artwork limits with the supplier before adding fine detail.
Review the design at the size people will actually see it. Check names, numbers and spelling in every language, and leave enough space around important information. Ask for changes on the same proof so the final version reflects one agreed set of corrections.
Sharing and print preparation
Review a folded sample or supplier proof, not only the flat artwork. Check that patterns meet at joins and that the lid and base are the right way round. Confirm any foil, emboss or spot-finish artwork separately.
Decide the final use before approving artwork. Digital sharing, a printed piece and a production file can need different exports. For printing, confirm dimensions, bleed, paper or material and finishing with the printer before the final file is prepared. Keep the approved version separate from earlier proofs.
Common questions
Can the same branding work on round and rectangular boxes?
Yes, but each box needs its own layout on the correct template. Shared colours, lettering and decorative elements can connect them without stretching one finished design onto a different shape.
Can we create a festival edition?
Share the festival, launch date and existing box artwork. Discuss which elements should stay recognisable and which message, colours or decoration should change for the occasion.
How do I request a personalised design?
Use the Contact us button and send your preferred gallery reference, approved content, language, size and deadline. The gallery helps explain your style preference. TG Graphics will discuss a personalised version and the files needed for your project.
How are price and delivery time decided?
Share the number of designs or pages, required formats, available artwork and deadline. Design scope, revisions, file preparation and printing requirements affect the work involved. Price and schedule are agreed for your project before work proceeds.
