DESIGN GUIDE

Plan your design

Planning and purpose

An engagement invitation welcomes guests to the beginning of a couple’s celebrations. Families may call the event Sagai, ring ceremony or another agreed name. Use the title and programme the hosts have confirmed. If there is a ceremony followed by a meal or reception, give each timing clearly so guests know when to arrive.

Design and readability

Keep the couple’s names as the visual focus, with timing and venue readable on a phone. Floral artwork, a monogram or a photograph can set the mood, but should not cover essential details. Confirm the preferred order and spelling of both names before creating a personalised monogram.

Review the design at the size people will actually see it. Check names, numbers and spelling in every language, and leave enough space around important information. Ask for changes on the same proof so the final version reflects one agreed set of corrections.

Sharing and print preparation

Share the invitation with the current date and a tested venue link. If the location or time changes, update the artwork and accompanying message together. Review every page of a multi-page set so an earlier version is not sent alongside the approved card.

Decide the final use before approving artwork. Digital sharing, a printed piece and a production file can need different exports. For printing, confirm dimensions, bleed, paper or material and finishing with the printer before the final file is prepared. Keep the approved version separate from earlier proofs.

Common questions

Can the card say ring ceremony instead of Sagai?

Use the occasion name agreed by the hosts. If the gathering includes more than one activity, name the confirmed programme clearly rather than treating different family customs as interchangeable.

Can we include a couple photograph?

Yes. Send a clear photograph approved by the couple and say whether you prefer a photo-led or typography-led layout. Review the crop and ensure the image leaves enough space for the programme details.

How do I request a personalised design?

Use the Contact us button and send your preferred gallery reference, approved content, language, size and deadline. The gallery helps explain your style preference. TG Graphics will discuss a personalised version and the files needed for your project.

How are price and delivery time decided?

Share the number of designs or pages, required formats, available artwork and deadline. Design scope, revisions, file preparation and printing requirements affect the work involved. Price and schedule are agreed for your project before work proceeds.
