Gujarati Memorial & prayer meetings Invitations

Prepare clear, dignified notices for Besnu, remembrance gatherings, prayer meetings and memorial observances. Use restrained artwork and family-approved Gujarati wording, giving the date, visiting hours and location the prominence they need.

Plan the invitation

A memorial card should communicate with care and precision. Confirm the person’s name, family names and the occasion before choosing a heading. A remembrance message is not the same as an invitation to a scheduled gathering. Avoid festive language, decorative confetti or unrelated religious symbols. Use a photograph only with the family’s agreement, and preserve a respectful crop rather than forcing it into a novelty frame.

State whether the gathering has a fixed programme or an interval during which visitors may attend. When a notice includes both a passing date and a meeting date, label them separately. Families follow different customs and may prefer a simple prayer meeting, a ritual observance or private remembrance. Publish only the programme they have chosen, and have a trusted family member check every line before sharing.

Sample card: Shraddh Gathering

Memorial & prayer meetings

Shraddh Gathering

A Shraddh invitation communicates a remembrance observance arranged by the family. Practices and attendance vary, so it should use the hosts’ own description and date rather than turning a general memorial sample into a universal ritual instruction.

Sharing and print preparation

Download the sample PNG to inspect the card or share it as an example when discussing your design. Its names, dates and venue are fictional and must be replaced for a real event. For WhatsApp or email, send the final approved image with a short accompanying message containing a checked map link and a contact number. Sending an image as a file can help preserve detail when a messaging service would otherwise compress it.

For printed invitations, agree the physical size, paper and finishing requirements with the printer before the final artwork is prepared. The downloadable sample is a portrait image, not a production print file with bleed or crop marks. Ask for files suited to the actual printing job. Proofread names, dates, the year, AM/PM or Gujarati time wording, and the complete address in the final proof rather than checking only an earlier text draft.
